FAQ

Is Bilargo Exit free?

The core photo-check routine is free: up to two checklists, unlimited checks with photo confirmations, and your check history. Bilargo Exit Pro is an optional one-time purchase; Bilargo Exit Sync is an optional subscription. Neither is required for daily checking.

What does Pro include?

Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase (no subscription). It unlocks:

What does the Sync subscription include?

Bilargo Exit Sync keeps your checklists, history, and photos in step across your own iPhone and iPad, using your private iCloud database. It is billed monthly or yearly through Apple and renews automatically until cancelled. Synced data counts against your iCloud storage quota.

How do I cancel the Sync subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or the App Store app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your data stays on your devices; only syncing stops.

How do I restore purchases?

Use Restore Purchases in the app (on the paywall screen). Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account that was used for the purchase.

Do my photos leave my device?

No — not unless you choose it. Confirmation photos are stored in the app's private storage on your device. They are uploaded only if you enable the optional Sync feature (to your own private iCloud database), or if you share/export a photo or proof card yourself. There is no Bilargo server and no account.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. Checklists, photo checks, and history all work with no network connection. Internet access is needed only for Apple purchase flows and, if enabled, iCloud Sync.

Does the app use AI?

No. Bilargo Exit contains no AI features and sends nothing to any AI service.

Why does the app ask for location permission?

Only for the optional leaving-home reminder: the app registers your saved home region with iOS geofencing so it can nudge you when you leave. This happens entirely on your device — your location is never sent to us or anyone else. If you don't use reminders, the app never asks.

Why does the app ask for camera or photo-library permission?

Camera: to take confirmation photos and reference photos. Photo library: only if you pick an existing photo as a reference image. Both are optional; each is requested the first time you use the feature.

Can I use it when leaving a holiday rental?

Yes — that's a core use case. Run a check when you arrive to document the condition you found (including any existing damage), and again when you leave to document the condition you left behind. Each check is timestamped.

Troubleshooting

My Pro purchase is not active

Try:

If the issue continues, contact support and include your iOS version, app version, and what you see on the purchase screen.

Sync isn't updating between devices

Check that:

Sync can take a few minutes, especially for photos. If it still fails, contact support with both devices' iOS and app versions.

Leaving-home reminders don't fire

Reminders depend on iOS location services and are best-effort by design. Check that:

iOS may still delay or skip region events; do not rely on reminders as your only safeguard.

A confirmation photo didn't save

Make sure the device has free storage and the app has camera permission, then try again. If the issue continues, contact support with your device model and iOS version.
